Zeus + Blu: all natural flea + tick repellent - Stop Bugging Me + Oh So Cuddly
Stop Bugging Me and Oh So Cuddly were developed as plant-based alternatives to toxic flea and tick treatments for dog parents that are concerned about the adverse neurological effects of some commonly used ingredients. See the FDA fact sheet with a list of the associated flea and tick products with Isoxazoline.
Zeus + Blu products safely repel ticks, fleas + mosquitoes using the power of plants.
How do they work? We use minimum risk pesticides defined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pose little to no risk to human health or the environment. Some of the safe pesticides we use are Castor, Cedarwood, Geranium, Lemongrass and Peppermint Oils.
We are serious about ticks. When it comes to ticks, Geranium Oil is our "secret sauce". It acts as a neurotoxin literally paralyzing ticks so they are unable to move or get close to you or your dog. Pretty cool, huh? (So effective that some of our customers use it when they go hiking or camping, but we won't tell anyone. 😉)
After shampooing with the paw the scent should repel ticks for approximately 2 weeks, depending on the activity level of your dog. As a general rule, if your dog still smells good- they should effectively repel ticks. We suggest Stop Bugging Me Dog Balm (COMING SOON) between baths and before venturing into areas where ticks may lurk.
Why are there two scents? Oh So Cuddly was developed as customer requests for a shampoo paw without coconut oil because of human allergic reactions. As a result, it is made with olive oil, also known as castile, gentle for sensitive skin and super hydrating.
